Dan Tetrault: Leading the Charge
MAFCU Visa cardholders know Dan Tetrault is the person to contact when they need help, advice, or information about their MAFCU Visa credit cards. Tetrault, who has been MAFCU's Visa Coordinator for more than six years, is responsible for the smooth functioning of the MAFCU Visa credit card program.
“My priority is to listen to members’ needs and concerns,” says Tetrault. “In the course of a day, I might help a member set up a payment plan, log in to online banking, or figure out why a card was declined.” Tetrault also helps members in unforeseen circumstances, such as canceling cards due to theft. Along with troubleshooting specific problems for members, Tetrault explains to them the importance of establishing good credit, preventing fraud and identity theft, and how a MAFCU Visa can help them.
Tetrault believes MAFCU Visa cards are a good benefit for members for many reasons. “Cardholders are not required to carry much cash, can dispute transactions, and are protected by Visa’s zero fraud liability,” comments Tetrault. “My job is made easier because MAFCU has a card for almost every situation, from those trying to establish credit to those who want rewards for using their card.” The helpful attitude of everyone at MAFCU has built trust and loyalty with members. "I am reminded of this every time I talk to someone who has moved out of state and chooses to use our services and continues to look to us to help them with their financial needs," he says.
Previously, Tetrault held the position of loan processor at MAFCU, and worked at CUNA (Credit Union National Association) in Madison, Wisconsin, a professional organization that serves the credit union industry. He is a graduate of Cornell University.
