Administrative Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support for the VP of Human Resources and Administrative Services, and the President and CEO. The successful candidate must exercise a high degree of initiative, ethics, and professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the President and CEO's calendar
- Prepare meeting minutes, spreadsheets, and reports
- Coordinate documents for monthly Board of Directors meetings
- Manage corporate records and documents
- Compose correspondence independently as well as with direction from supervisor
- Screen and triage mail, email, and telephone calls
- Order supplies and assist with office equipment and building maintenance issues
- Independently resolve routine inquiries
- Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements for senior management as needed
Qualifications
- Two or more years' experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting senior-level management
- Superior organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of contacts internally and externally
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Must be detail oriented
- Must follow up and follow through on assignments
- Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to shifting priorities

This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and Administrative Services. Under the direction of the supervisor, the Administrative Assistant provides support to the President and CEO, and the Senior Management Team.

IT/Operations Analyst

MAFCU Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a skilled IT/Operations Analyst. Established in 1952, MAFCU serves more than 90 affiliates and 10,000 members, with branches located in the Longwood Medical Area and Brookline. We are expanding to serve the lending needs of our members in the Dorchester Lower Mills area as well as individuals and businesses in the area.
This is a unique opportunity to assume a full range of responsibilities across key functional areas, while utilizing your technical and analytical skills. Under the general direction of the VP of Operations, the IT/Operations Analyst is responsible for the effective operation and support of MAFCU’s computer systems and network. You will conduct research and evaluate trends and new technologies in the industry to advise management in determining applicability across all functional areas. You will make recommendations and assist in the implementation of technology-based solutions in support of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline business processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality member service. Some of the responsibilities will include day-to-day technology and operations support. Similarly, you will consult with technology vendors and escalate high level technical issues to the appropriate party. You will assist with hardware and software installations and maintenance as well as general network, security and system administration. You will prepare and provide technology training to all departments. You will support Senior Management in the vendor and risk management process.
The successful candidate will be exposed to operations, lending, human resources, accounting, marketing, contract administration, and vendor management. Qualifications:
Must possess strong analytical aptitude, and solid technical foundation with a working knowledge of the banking / credit union industry. Must be able to analyze and resolve complex problems. Must possess good communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Working Knowledge of Networking, Computer Systems support and maintenance. Must have knowledge of:
- Network Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and greater (Active Directory User Setup and Maintenance)
- Desktop Operating Systems: Windows XP Professional and greater, Apple Mac OS X or greater (End-User Support and Basic Troubleshooting)
- Software: Solid Desktop Application Knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Security: Firewall Reports and Log review, Virus and Malware cleanup
Any combination equivalent to experience and training would provide the required knowledge, skills, and ability would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
- Experience: Minimum Three years of increasingly responsible experience in an analytical capacity, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Must possess experience in the support and administration of desktops and local area networks. Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking is required. Experience related to network operating systems, networking standards, computer/network hardware and system maintenance is required
- Training: Equivalent education to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business management, management information systems, or a related field.
