Financial Education

MAFCU is committed to helping members achieve financial well being through financial literacy. We coordinate with our affiliates to bring financial education to the workplace, and we regularly hold seminars at MAFCU branches.

Get Smart With Your Finances

Through our Fiscal Fitness Program, co-sponsored with Money Management International (formerly Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern New England), our members can receive a free debt management plan and free financial counseling from a Certified Credit Advisor.  MAFCU members also have access to the Home and Family Finance Center, an online resource for personal financial information that can save time and money.

If you are experiencing financial distress and are finding it difficult to make payments on a MAFCU loan, please contact Sally Echevarria at 617-278-5619 or bechevarria@mafcucreditunion.org to discuss how we can work together.

For more information about MAFCU financial education programs, contact Paula Kerwin at
